Manmohan Gill FNP

Family Nurse Practitioner(FNP)

I was born in Calcutta, India, and spent my early years in Punjab, India. I had a strong interest in science subjects during my high school educational years which led me to enter the nursing field. I earned my Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) at the Post Graduate Institute for Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India. After finishing my Bachelor's Degree, I worked in the Operating room - Neurosurgery unit as a Registered Nurse for 3 years. I relocated to the United States in 2002 and started working at Georgetown University MedStar Hospital in Washington DC. Motivated by my colleagues and mentors, I developed a keen interest in expanding my expertise to become a healthcare provider. In 2007, I completed my Master’s Degree in Nursing from Georgetown University in Washington DC, and became a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). I also gained valuable clinical experience at Reston Surgery Center as a Registered Nurse for another 4 years.

I started working as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) at Millennium Medical Care (MMC) in May 2012 and continued to improve my clinical skills and expertise through new experiences, education, and research. After working at MMC for 10 years, I aspired to advance my career and earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Aspen University in 2024. As I am committed to continuous improvement in clinical expertise, and improving patient outcomes this advanced degree has not only enhanced my clinical practice skills but also broadened my knowledge in leadership, technology, and research. As the healthcare landscape increasingly demands evidence-based interventions, my DNP equips me to address these challenges effectively.

I am fluent in English, Hindi/Urdu, and Punjabi, which allows me to communicate effectively with a wide range of patients. I am able to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds, and my multicultural background helps me understand each patient at an individual level.

The primary care provider is the foundation of healthcare, addressing the whole patient by considering their physical, mental, and social well-being. Each patient is unique, and their care should be customized to meet their specific needs. MMC provides patient care in five different locations. I primarily work in the Herndon clinic. As part of MMC, I value the collaborative approach with both patients and their primary care providers. I’m proud to be part of such an innovative and dynamic organization.

Besides work, I love traveling, participating in cultural events, and spending quality time with my family, including my wonderful husband and two children.
